About Us

The James Willard Burnett Memorial Foundation was founded to honor the life of James Willard Burnett also known as Jimmy Burnett. He made an impression on everybody he met. The impression he made on my life was totally unexpected, but amazingly beautiful. I wish I had recorded our conversations. We always talked about profound topics and the laughter and love he brought into my life changed me forever. We often talked about the gap and how if it were filled what could be accomplished. The "Gap" is many things and it is everything when it comes to human potential and making a difference in this world. One of our first conversations was about this very thing and how if we put just a little bit of effort, we could make a world of difference in the lives of many. It is my intention to honor Jimmy Burnett by "filling the gap". We may not change the world, but we can make a world of difference in someone's life by filling the gap. That is what we do. That is who we are.
